Fake Joplin tornado volunteers arrested in Oklahoma

I would hope there is a place in hell reserved for people like this. Three people claiming to be volunteers collecting money for Joplin tornado relief were arrested in Oklahoma today.

The victim told deputies two white men came to her door claiming to be from an out of town church and raising money for the Joplin tornado disaster. When the victim told them she couldn’t help, one of the suspects forced her to the floor. She told police the second man ransacked her home, taking money and jewelry.

The victim was able to give a description of the suspects and the vehicle they left in. According to Sheriff Ron Lockhart, Trooper Kyle Henson, who was nearby, saw the vehicle at Highway 64 and Interstate 40 and stopped them.

Deputies recovered all of the stolen items from the vehicle.

The sheriff credits the quick call for help from the victim and Trooper Henson being in the right place, at the right time, in the capture of the suspects.
