Duenweg man charged with statutory rape of 16-year-old in his wife's pickup

An arrest warrant has been issued and a $75,000 cash bond set for a Duenweg man charged with the statutory rape of a 16-year-old girl, possession of child pornography and furnishing pornographic material to a minor.

The probable cause statement, filed today in Jasper County Circuit Court, indicates authorities were contacted in September by the wife of Devon Ray Kinzle, 26, who told them Kinzle had sex with the 16-year-old.

From the probable cause statement:

The juvenile first met Kinzle at a neighbor’s house. Upon Kinzle's arrival, an adult allowed Kinzle into the residence. Mr. Kinzle and the adult female had a brief conversation about the age of the juvenile females, who were present at the residence. “F--king teenagers”, he stated, while rolling his eyes.

Shortly thereafter, the juvenile attended a birthday party at Kinzle's residence. Mr. Kinzle again asked the juvenile about her age. Later, the juvenile obtained Mr. Kinzle’s telephone number, which was posted on the side of her friend’s refrigerator. The juvenile texted the number. She identified herself and Mr. Kinzle confirmed his identity. The juvenile escalated the conversation and informed Mr. Kinzle she had a sexual interest in him.

Mr. Kinzle responded back, and the conversation became sexual. He asked her to show him something. {The two exchanged nude photos.} Mr. Kinzle instructed the juvenile to delete the messages because he didn’t want to get caught.

Kinzle called the girl at 2 a.m. and arranged a meeting and the two had sex in the back of Kinzle's wife's truck, the probable cause statement said.

Kinzle offered a different version of what happened- at first

From the probable cause statement:

Mr. Kinzle stated he had no idea why I was interviewing him. He recently had a restraining order placed against him by a 16-year-old female. Per Mr. Kinzle, he stopped talking to the juvenile when he discovered her actual age.

However, he later stated he fooled around with the juvenile. I handed Mr. Kinzle multiple pages of communications he and the juvenile exchanged. In addition, I provided him with social media posts he posted to his public profile.

Mr. Kinzle reviewed the social media posts in which he apologized to his wife for cheating. He confirmed the messages were his.

I pointed out an image he sent to the juvenile, displaying his bare penis and tattooed forearm. Mr. Kinzle began to visibly shake. He confirmed the image was him.

The case was investigated by the Missouri State Highway Patrol.
