(From the Diamond R-4 School District)The Diamond R-IV Board of Education is pleased to provide an update on the progress of its ongoing superintendent search. As the process reaches its final stages, the Board remains focused on one clear goal: securing the best leadership plan possible to support the success of Diamond students, staff, and the greater community.
Over the past several weeks, the Board has worked diligently with support from the Missouri School Boards Association (MSBA) to review applicants and assess leadership options that best fit the district’s current and long-term needs. While the candidate pool included several qualified individuals, the Board has remained grounded in the input provided by district stakeholders and mindful of the timing and challenges that come with conducting a search late in the school year.
Throughout this process, the Board has worked collaboratively and with purpose, recognizing the significance of this leadership decision. Board members have been united in their commitment to understanding and honoring the voices of Diamond’s staff, families, and community members. The feedback shared during the search process has played a key role in guiding discussions and shaping the Board’s direction moving forward.
To address the district’s immediate operational needs while continuing to evaluate long-term leadership goals, the Board is finalizing a plan to appoint an Executive Superintendent for the 2025–2026 school year. This role will provide steady, experienced leadership focused on advancing the district’s core priorities: academic success, financial stability, and operational continuity.
The appointment will be made through MSBA’s Superintendent Search Process, a structured support initiative that includes mentorship from experienced superintendents, financial oversight guidance, leadership development, and Board governance training. The program is designed to ensure continuity and to strengthen district capacity during periods of transition.
“Our team is committed to ensuring that the leadership transition reflects the values and priorities of the Diamond R-IV School District,” said Tracy Danner, President of the Board of Education. “We’ve taken this decision seriously and believe the Executive Superintendent role allows us to address immediate needs while building the foundation for future success.”
The Board will share additional updates as the appointment is finalized, and plans are implemented as early as next week.

Tracy Danner and Barb Badley are the 2 largest reasons that school has no money. They need ethical, educated board members. Tracy Danner is the exact opposite of that. Barb Badley also hired her daughter her daughter in law as their accountant. I’d say this school needs to audited… lots of weird reasons this school has no money.
There is quite a lot to this. It us difficult for a school district to recover once it spirals and hits bottom. Believe it or not, Diamond was once a respected small school district. This all started with the ol Badley, Russow, Henson, Jill Renfro clan. Since that time, the district has lost between 20-30% of their school population. The reputation is awful and in administrative ranks, it is seen as a toxic, dead end job that almost no one will touch. This is really too bad because the students are the ones to suffer because of adult actions. Many good people and families have fled thisdistrict over the last 10 yrs or so.
Supposedly CJ has a superintendent retiring this year I’m sure Diamond would love to have him since all it takes is a school board of his friends, administrators who have had affairs or are having affairs and teachers who stalk students and are child predators.
