The Missouri state fire marshal is investigating an early morning fire that heavily damaged the historic Jane Chinn House, 302 South Pennsylvania Street, Webb City.
Jane Chinn, who died in 1913, was the cousin of Webb City founder John C. Webb, and donated $60,000 to build the hospital that was named after her.
KOAM and Joplin News First report that the Webb City Fire Department, Webb City Police, METS Ambulance and the Joplin and Oronogo fire departments responded to the fire.
The house was built in 1893.
