Domino's fundraiser for Carthage teen critically injured in hit-and-run crash receives overwhelming support

Carthage Domino's fundraiser for its employee, Braxton Thrasher, 17, who was critically injured in a hit-and-run accident while he was on his moped November 30, received an overwhelming amount of community support.

Domino's released the following statement on its Facebook page:

Carthage! We love you! We have doubled what we projected we would do today for the fundraiser.

We had to stop taking orders because we will run out of food. The coupon will be active throughout the weekend! If you didn't get your order in today, come see us through the weekend!

We are overwhelmed by this generous community!

Braxton Thrasher has been transferred to a St. Louis hospital for treatment.

The driver who allegedly hit Braxton, Miguel Gaspar-Diaz has been charged with assault, leaving the scene of an accident and tampering with evidence and is being held in the Jasper County Jail on no bond for the charges related to the accident and on an ICE warrant.
