Brandon Kahl, 25, Lamar, charged with involuntary manslaughter in connection with the June 7 death of two-year-old Alexander Cole, waived his preliminary hearing Tuesday in Barton County Circuit Court, and was bound over for trial.
Cole was the son of Kahl's live-in girlfriend. He is free on $15,000 bond. The bond includes the
stipulation that Kahl have no contact with anyone under the age of 17, and he must live with either his father, Terry Kahl, or his grandmother, Lucille Kahl.

Jason's dad is abusive to Jason and his mother.
There was a babysitter at the home for 9 hours on the night in question.
I personally know Brandon and think he has always been on the side of "different", to be polite. I hope that he shapes up with this, since the Marines didn't seem to help.
Jason's father has NEVER been abusive to Jason what so ever!! I lived with him and Angie and Know for a fact that they were BOTH mean to eachother I was here when they fought, she would hit him and he would try and hold her to stop her. I saw this so I know what their relationship was like.They both in my books were stupid and fought with their hands not there words! I never thought they should be together. I do allthough know that he would NEVER hurt Jason and if they were with him like the court said (insted of her running with them and not doing what the court said) This would of never happened. Just look whos care little Alex died in!!! I talked to Angie after the funeral and she said there was no babysitter. Then she hinted that there was. The story she is giving us is diffrent then the one she is giving the cops!! Also We talked to her before all this and she said that Brandon was abusive and that she had to wait till he was gone on another job before she could sneek the boys out of the house. Im sorry if this upsets anyone but saying my cousin who I know real well could hurt his own son who was ripped from him for two years (since jason was two) makes me very upset!! He loved his boys and did not even get a chance to see them untill now, one of them in a coffin with bruises all over his face! You explain to me how that is fair!!!
Is that why Duane threatened to kill Alex and Angie and take Jason because the only one he wanted was Jason?
That was juch a lie angie tells. He hadnt talked to angie for allmost two years!! She lies about all the relationships she is in. I even thought she was lieing about Brandon. I guess I was wrong. I know angie and know she lies alot!!
Duane loves his boys. The death of Alex ripped him apart. He was fighting for BOTH boys and had custody of BOTH boys. He had even gotten a new house and had things for BOTH boys and was trying to save money for a new lawer in Mo. So he could get his boys back!! He did not ever hurt them, she is just a liar. Trust me shes lied to me so many times about little stupid things. I dont belive a word she says. Duane has admited to having a temper with angie but he says he had NEVER and NEVER would hurt his children. I blelive him and he has lots of family to help him with Jason once he gets him!

He got custody.
Duane did not get custody of Jason... It is still in court... Duane was abusive to Angie and the boys... there is a police report from Texas were he admits to hitting her when she was eight months pregnant with Alexander and was holding Jason who was 1... He bite her, choked her and threw her stomach first into a car almost smashing Jason's head into the hood of the car...
Look he did get custody She is still under investigation for alex's death. He or his sister will be getting Jason. I know that duane was not perfect in this. I know he has a temper I have been around them since they got together. I do know that he would never hurt Jason. I also know that if The state of missouri would of given him custody like was said in texas things would of turned out better. I think people are mad about the wrong thing here. Alex was a innocent child and he died. We need to get to the bottom of that not all the other things.
I dont know anyone involved but I have read a few things about this case. I just wanted to say how sad the loss of this little one is. There seems to be quite a confusion on the facts. I hope this case is looked into fully!
I am a former marine.. that serverd with brandon. I first would like to say I am truely sorry for the loss of a child and hope all that loved him knows he is in a better place. May God bless the family and all who is suffering from this loss.

Thank you. All I know is that Someone pushed or hit on little Alex's chest so hard it collapsed his lungs and crushed his heart. Then put him back in his bed (according to angie thats where she found him) I do not know much more that I care to say anyway. Im sure more will come out during the trial. Im just glad Duane has Jason, where he is Happy and Thriving! Thanks for the prayers We appreciate them.

It's been almost 5 years since this tragedy happened to my little cousin. I don't know if anyone still reads these, probably not but I want to let all you heartless a**holes to know that Duane is a GREAT father and loves his boys to none other. He has NEVER and will NEVER put Jason in danger, and you think that you know about Angela, but what you don't know is that the entire time she was pregnant with BOTH boys she was doing drugs, and has always been a doped up !@#$. I wish hell upon Brandon and Angie, and hope that God takes over.
Jason is thriving greatly in the custody of his father!! He will never be hurt or abused by him. He would never have hurt Alex either. Angela is the biggest liar and manipulative person I have ever known. If Duane was as bad as she says then the court in Texas wouldn't have given him custody to begin with. Angela and Brandon should be in prison the rest of their lives for killing Alex
I knew Brandon well and I believe he did it.
