State treasurer to attend Joplin events

The following itinerary was released to the media moments ago by State Treasurer Clint Zweifel.


State Treasurer Clint Zweifel (ZWY-ful) will join Joplin residents May 21 and May 22 to mark the one-year anniversary of the EF-5 tornado. He will be attending several public events, and his schedule is below. MONDAY, MAY 21
7 P.M.
Treasurer Zweifel will attend the Joplin High School graduation on the campus of Missouri Southern State University in the Leggett & Platt Athletic Center.

TUESDAY, MAY 22
10:30 A.M.
Treasurer Zweifel will tour Rebuild Joplin at 705 Illinois Avenue, Joplin, MO 64801.

1 P.M.
Treasurer Zweifel will join members of Ingram’s “50 Missourians You Should Know” to tour the current Joplin High School at 101 N. Range Line Road, Building D, Joplin, MO 64801.

3:30 P.M.
Treasurer Zweifel will take part in the Walk of Unity, and will attend the new high school groundbreaking at 2401 Indiana Avenue, Joplin, MO 64804. The walk ends at Cunningham Park for the Day of Unity Program. Cunningham Park is located at the corner of 26th Street and South Maiden Lane. 5:15 P.M.
Treasurer Zweifel will join the residents of Joplin and visitors at the Day of Unity Program participating in the Moment of Silence and evening events at Cunningham Park.

6:30 P.M.
Treasurer Zweifel will attend the “50 Missourians You Should Know” Reception at the Twin Hills Country Club, 2019 Country Club Drive, Joplin, MO 64804.
