(From the Sarah Steelman campaign)
Barbara Fairchild and Ann Stafford announce a Women of Steel
Town Hall scheduled for this Sunday, July 29th in Branson. This town hall will begin at 1:00 p.m. and
will take place at the Golden Corral Showroom.
This is a joint effort to address the problems that congress has created
for our country and also to provide commonsense solutions for correcting these
problems.
Barbara and Ann released this joint statement: “This town
hall comes at a crucial time for our nation.
Our country is at a pivotal point, and we must get involved before it is
too late. By attending and participating
in the town hall, voters will be able to interact with Sarah and give her their
perspective on issues facing Americans.
We must speak up and work to correct the problems our country is facing
before we lose the spirit and vitality that has made our nation great. We share Governor Sarah Palin’s belief that
Sarah Steelman is the kind of leader who can take our concerns and ideas and
put them into action in Washington. She
understands the plight of each and every one of us, and is willing to fight for
our future. We hope you will join us in
welcoming Sarah Steelman for this Women of Steel Town hall.”
Sarah Steelman also commented: “I always enjoy coming to the
Branson area and seeing old friends and making new ones. I appreciate strong women of conviction, like
Barbara and Ann, for providing a forum for others to come out and have a
healthy discussion of the issues that affect their daily lives.”
Sarah Steelman is running as a commonsense conservative in
the August 7th Republican primary, to challenge Democrat Senator Claire
McCaskill. McCaskill has been a
rubberstamp for the Obama/Reid agenda in the U.S. Senate, including casting the
deciding vote for Obamacare and voting for the stimulus. McCaskill is the lead recipient of pro-choice
advocacy group, Emily's List.
The Golden Corral is located at 3551 Shepherd of the Hills
Expressway in Branson. Doors open at
12:30 p.m. and note cards will be provided for participants to submit
questions.
