Carl Junction School District mourns high school junior killed in traffic accident

(The following message was posted Saturday on the Carl Junction Schools Facebook page.)

We are saddened to report that early this morning, Saturday, September 10, Junior Kyran Addington died in an automobile accident. He was on his way to go hunting with friends.

Also in the vehicle were Sophomore Dakota Holstom and Junior Levi Graves. Dakota and Levi are recovering from injuries at Springfield and Joplin hospitals.

“I am deeply saddened to hear of Kyran’s passing. Kyran was a great kid who was very active in FFA, archery, and wrestling. My thoughts and prayers go out to his family in this time of need,” said High School Principal Kyle Williams.

"The FFA Family will forever miss Kyran," said FFA Teacher Benny McWilliams. "He had a way of making everyone laugh. He was always a friend."

As we work through this tragedy, we ask that you lift Kyran's family, friends, teachers, and coaches up in your prayers. We also pray for healing for Dakota and Levi.
