Red Hot & Blue going out of business

One of Joplin's iconic restaurants, Red Hot & Blue will close its doors early next month.

The following announcement was posted on its Facebook page today:

After 25 years the family-owned business of Red Hot & Blue Joplin will be smoking BBQ for the last time.

We are retiring from the restaurant business and closing our doors around October 2 or until the food runs out!

Our time here is marked with gratitude and appreciation toward Joplin and the surrounding communities in which we served.

We will cherish all the friendships we made along the way with both customers and employees alike, and thank you for all the cherished memories.

Red Hot & Blue is through? Quick, someone pour me a cold beer so I can drown my sorrows.

I sure hate to see a family owned business close, but I definitely understand wanting to retire from the restaurant business, it’s a lot harder to run that people think. Thank you for the years you’ve served Joplin and the surrounding area. And most importantly enjoy retirement.
Please support you locally owned business
