Joplin R-8 Board of Education will discuss board norms, self-evaluation and professional development, as well as superintendent goals during a Tuesday, 5 p.m. work session in the Joplin High School hospitality room.
The board is also scheduled to hold a closed session at 4:30 p.m. to discuss legal issues, personnel and identifiable personnel records at 4:30 p.m., go into open session at 4:45 p.m. to discuss the nomination of Board President Rylee Hartwell to the Missouri School Boards Association Board of Directors.
Hartwell has been asked to serve on the board but must have the official approval of the R-8 Board before he can accept the position.
The board will also vote on approval of revisions to the district strategic plan for 2022-2027.
Before going into the work session, the board will return to closed session, according to the agenda.
