Joplin man pleads not guilty to sodomizing, molesting 8-year-old girl

A Joplin man pleaded not guilty Wednesday to sodomizing and molesting an 8-year-old girl.

Jason Wade Black, 49, is being held in the Jasper County Jail on a $100,000 cash only bond.

A Joplin Police Department news release this morning said the girl was sexually assaulted when she was between the ages of 8 and 9.

Black is charged with two counts of statutory sodomy in the first degree and single counts of child molestation in the second degree and attempted sexual exploitation of a minor.
