Neosho woman charged with assault for allegedly driving into man in alley, leaving him on ground

The Jasper County Prosecuting Attorney's office filed a first degree assault charge against a Neosho woman who allegedly followed a man after they had an argument in the Wendy's parking lot in Webb City, drove into him in an alley and left him on the ground September 30.

The allegations against Shanea Annette Nedwicke (DOB 1991), are detailed in the probable cause statement:

Suspect and victim were in the parking lot of Wendy's restaurant, 1229 S. Madison.

While inside a vehicle together they began to verbally argue. Victim did not want to argue with suspect with their children in common inside the vehicle. Victim exited the vehicle and began walking south in alley behind 1301 S. Madison.

Suspect exited the parking lot of Wendy's in the vehicle at a high rate of speed and entered the alley traveling south toward the victim. The victim heard the vehicle engine noise, turned around and saw the vehicle racing toward him.

The victim tried to avoid being struck by the vehicle, but the suspect swerved sharp toward the victim and struck the victim with her vehicle. The victim struck the hood and roof of the vehicle before he fell to the ground.

After striking the victim with her vehicle the suspect did not stop to check the welfare of the victim, she instead left the area at a high rate of speed. Three witnesses verified the victim's statement.

The case was investigated by the Webb City Police Department.
