State audit to examine CEE-Trust bidding and contract

Deputy State Auditor Harry Otto announced today that state auditor's office will conduct a limited review and analysis of the procurement process used by the Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE), in connection with the awarding of a contract to The Cities For Education Entrepreneurship Trust.

The auditor's office previously requested information from the DESE in December and based upon the reply and documentation furnished by the DESE have determined that a limited review and analysis is warranted. No other announcements will be forthcoming until the report is released.
