URGENT - WINTER WEATHER MESSAGE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE SPRINGFIELD MO 352 PM CST SUN JAN 5 2014 ...WINTER STORM DEPARTING THE OZARKS WITH DANGEROUSLY COLD TEMPERATURES IN ITS WAKE... .LOW PRESSURE CENTERED OVER THE OHIO VALLEY WILL CONTINUE TO TRACK EAST-NORTHEASTWARD AWAY FROM THE OZARKS THIS AFTERNOON. LIGHT SNOW AND FLURRIES BEHIND THE LOW WILL END FROM WEST TO EAST INTO EARLY THIS EVENING. EVEN THOUGH THE SNOW WILL BE ENDING ACROSS THE REGION...BRISK AND GUSTY NORTH TO NORTHWEST WINDS WILL CONTINUE INTO THIS EVENING...PRODUCING BLOWING AND DRIFTING SNOW. WIND CHILLS WILL REMAIN IN THE 0 TO -10 RANGE THROUGHOUT THE AFTERNOON AND WILL FALL INTO THE -10 TO -20 DEGREE RANGE THIS EVENING. DANGEROUSLY COLD WIND CHILLS ARE THEN EXPECTED OVERNIGHT AS TEMPERATURES FALL INTO THE 0 TO -13 RANGE. WIND CHILLS BY EARLY MONDAY MORNING WILL RANGE FROM -20 TO -30.
