Eckersley: Race is over, but there's more to come

Billy Long may be the winner in the Seventh District Congressional race, but his opponent, Scott Eckersley, says Long's problems may be just beginning, referring to a comploint with the Department of Justice over a fake e-mail that went out last week claiming Eckersley was quitting the race. Give it up Scott, as far as Long goes. Trying to prove that Billy Long was behind some stupid actions by a no-name, political wannabe in Illinois is not going to help your cause or turn anything in your favor.

Concede with dignity or you will forever be known, politically, as the person who tried but lost by attempting to smear Mr. Long's reputation and harm his family.

I can't stand to look at Boss Hog, (oops, Billy Long) because he looks like he's on the verge of a heart attack. Good try Scott, maybe next time you'll get him!

Keep on Boss Hogg's trail, Scott! And remember, in the next 12 or so months, there will probably be a big scandla out of Washington involving a certain long fellow, a Congressional page or intern, and a bucket of chicken.
