Investigation continues into shooting death of Neosho elementary art teacher

On Sunday, January 4th Officers with the Anderson Police Department responded to 305 West Main Street in reference to a reported accidental discharge of a firearm. 

Upon arrival the Officers located Annie Strickling-Ganes, a 28-year-old Anderson woman unconscious with an apparent gunshot wound. 

Also at the residence was a male subject, identified as Gavyn Crawford. 

Officers rendered aid to Ganes, who was transported to Freeman West Hospital where she was pronounced deceased. 

At this time the investigation is ongoing.
