(From Missouri Southern State University)The Missouri Southern State University Board of Governors will hold its regular meeting at 1 p.m. Jan. 9 in the board room on the third floor of the Billingsly Student Center.
The board will consider a proposal to approve a new Master of Social Work (MSW) program with an integrative healthcare social work focus. If approved, the program would require additional approvals, including from the Council for Social Work Education.
The MSW program would address a critical workforce need in the region. A significant philanthropic commitment from Freeman Health System would fully fund faculty and operating costs for the first five years of the program.
