A former Monett and Aurora police officer who was already facing child pornography charges in Lawrence County, was charged today in U. S. District Court for the Western District of Missouri.
The federal charges against Scott William Gaston, 49, Marionville, stem from the Lawrence County investigation, according to the charging information. Gaston is being held without bond in the Lawrence County Detention Center.
According to the probable cause document in the Lawrence County case, following a tip, the Southwest Missouri Cyber Crimes Task Force discovered 29 video files.
The videos found in Gaston's possession, according to the federal information, included videos of an adult male raping an infant and an adult male raping what appeared to be a child who was about three years old.
Another video showed an adult male forcing what appeared to be a 6-month-old child to perform an oral sex act.
