Burger King fails Joplin Health Department inspection


Burger King, 1931 S. Range Line Road, failed its Joplin Health Department inspection today with two priority violations and six core violations.

Priority violations

 -Tartar sauce in the walk-in cooler was past its expiration date.

-When the three-compartment sink was emptied during normal use, the floor drain didn't adequately handle the flow resulting in an overflow into part of the kitchen.







Core violations

-A wiping cloth was improperly stored with customer food in the walk-in cooler

-The lid stored near the east drive-through window was in disrepair.

-Soil accumulation was observed under the three-compartment sink near the floor drain. The drain cover hadn't been cleaned frequently.

-The hand sink near the east drive-through window had a water temperature of 83 degrees Fahrenheit.

-The light fixture above the mop sink was not secured to the ceiling. Nearby casting tiles had holes.

-Air ducts and filters above the grill had excessive grease accumulation.
