Former Carl Junction police officer to stand trial for allegedly assaulting lawyer


Former Carl Junction police officer Bradley McDaniel, 55, was bound over for trial for assault on a special victim following a preliminary hearing Friday in Jasper County Circuit Court.

McDaniel allegedly attacked Joplin attorney Terence Prigmore during a November 12 child custody meeting.

The allegation was detailed in the probable cause statement:

On 11/12/2025 I, Officer Connell was dispatched to 2727 E. 32nd Street Suite 5 in reference to a physical disturbance. 








A male identified as Bradley McDaniel had reportedly attacked an attorney mediator who was sitting in on a child-custody meeting. The victim was identified as Terence Prigmore. A female identified as Alicia Michael witnessed the incident.

Alicia advised Bradley had "attacked" Terence but throwing him against a wall and punching him in the head several times.

Terence initially refused medical services but later went to a local hospital. Terence was found to have a head injury from the assault.

The case was investigated by the Joplin Police Department
