Texas Roadhouse, Joplin Greenhouse & The Coffee Shop, Downtown Corner Market fail health department inspections

Texas Roadhouse, 3317 S. Range Line Road and Joplin Greenhouse and The Coffee Shop, 2820 E. 32nd Street failed Joplin Health Department inspections Thursday, according to information posted on the department website.

Downtown Corner Market, 419 W. 4th Street failed its inspection Monday.

Texas Roadhouse

Texas Roadhouse received four priority violations and 10 core violations, according to the inspection report.

Priority violations were received for the following reasons:

-Employee drinks were stored in an unapproved manner on food preparation and food storage areas.








-Shredded cheese and dressing in the salad prep table cooler was being cold held above 41 degrees.

-Sanitizer concentration for chlorine in the dishwasher was at 0 ppm.

-A working container of sanitizer was not labeled for its contents.

The following core violations were noted:

-Wiping cloth solution at 0 ppm

-Catfish was stored in direct contact with undrained ice.

-Wiping cloths were lying on food prep surfaces.

-Seasoning was not labeled as required.

-An accumulation of ice was present on the floor in the walk-in freezer.

-Handwashing sink was obstructed and unavailable.

-Bar handwashing sink was storing steel wool.

-Handwashing sink has ice in the basin and was not solely used for handwashing.

-Outside dumpster refuse containers were not covered and were surrounded by cardboard.

-Employee drinks and jackets were improperly placed on food storage equipment.

Joplin Greenhouse & The Coffee Shop

Joplin Greenhouse & The Coffee Shop received seven priority violations and 14 core violations.

Priority violations were noted for the following:

-The person in charge was unable to demonstrate knowledge of the sanitizer that was being used in the three-compartment sink.

-Employee food and drinks were stored over customer food items in the walk-in cooler.








-Multiple ready-to-eat food items in the walk-on cooler had missing date marking.

-Multiple ready-to-eat food items in the reach-in cooler in the back of the kitchen were missing date marking.

-Multiple potentially hazardous food items in the tabletop cooler in the kitchen were cold-held above 41 degrees.

-Sanitizer concentration for lactic acid in the three-compartment sink was at 452 ppm.

-Handwashing sink was not provided in the back of the kitchen and was not convenient for use.

The following core violations were noted:

-An in-use food utensil handle was seen in the food contact surface of the ice bin.

-Paint is peeling from the ceiling in the walk-in cooler.

-A lactic sanitizer test kit was not provided for the three-compartment sink.

-Sanitizer concentration for lactic acid in the three-compartment sink was at 452 ppm.

-The walls and ceiling in the walk-in cooler had water damage.

-The ice maker in the back of the kitchen had debris accumulations.

-The oven in the back of the kitchen had severe debris accumulation.

-The store front handwashing sink was being used to store a coffee cup lid and was unavailable for handwashing.

-The handwashing sink in the back of the kitchen was blocked by cleaned dishes.

-The floor is no longer easily cleanable in the front and back of the kitchen.

-The light intensity in the walk-in cooler was less than required.

-No hand towels were available at the handwashing sink in the back of the kitchen.

-No handwashing soap was provided at the handwashing sink in the back of the kitchen.

-The fan covers in the walk-in cooler had severe dust accumulation.

-The prep table across from the checkout area had severe debris and food debris accumulation

Downtown Corner Market

Downtown Corner Market had one priority violation and three core violations.

The priority violation was for having food items in the prep table cooler being cold held above 41 degrees.

Core violations were noted for having drop-in freezers in disrepair, accumulation along the seams of the ice machine and no hand towels in the hand sink area.

The inspection also noted moisture damage on the ceiling above the ice machine and a coving near the cappuccino machine that was in disrepair.
