Tune in to Ozarks Public TV (KOZJ/Channel 26/Cable One channel 3) for our special presentation of One Year After the Joplin Tornado: Turning Despair to Hope. With help from many outside groups and volunteers, the community of Joplin has been focused on rebuilding and recovery after an EF5 tornado left death and destruction in its wake last May. Residents have witnessed an outpouring of donations from near and far, and have worked side by side with thousands of volunteers from all over the U.S. The redevelopment is evident as you look at the city's schools, neighborhoods, businesses, and parks. Now, on the one year anniversary of the tornado, the people of Joplin reflect on how far the community has come and what lies ahead. The program will air on Sunday, May 20, 6:00 p.m., Monday, May 21, 9:00 p.m., and Tuesday, May 22, 10:00 p.m.
