The Carl Junction Area Chamber of Commerce, with the recommendation of the City of Carl Junction, has made the very difficult decision to cancel the annual Bluegrass Festival, scheduled to be held the last weekend of September 2020.
The Carl Junction Area Chamber of Commerce sat down yesterday with county health officials and committee members to discuss the likelihood of moving forward with such a large event.
The overall consensus was that COVID numbers are still on the rise. The best option to keep our guests, staff, volunteers and community members safe would be to cancel.
We look forward to a bigger and better Bluegrass Festival in 2021.
