Missouri Congressman Billy Long issued the following statement following the Russian invasion of Ukraine.
“The intelligence Congress was privy to was stellar,” Congressman Long said. “Unfortunately we knew for months that this invasion was coming, and the Biden Administration did very little to stop it."We should have issued severe sanctions against Russia before this invasion occurred, and not waited until after the fact. President Biden has not shown leadership throughout this situation, and it all started when he weakened our national security by reducing American energy production, which increased our reliance on Russian oil.
"This, coupled with President Biden’s lifting of Nord Stream 2 sanctions, gave Putin exactly what he wanted: more control over Europe and the United States. President Biden should never have lifted those sanctions and lessened our energy independence. This is exactly why energy independence is important to our national security.”

Yeah, Trump loves Russians we all know that. But didn't Biden strong arm Ukrainian officials when he was VP into dropping an investigation into his son? Biden and the Ukrainian... nah nothing to see there
I don’t think everyone remembers that Zelensky was the leader on the other end of the “I want you to do me a favor though” phone call. I sense the first impeachment sounded kinda obscure to some people. But withholding lethal aid was both an actual crime and a moral crime.

Which kind of crime is it when you withhold aid so they'll fire a prosecuter investigating the company your crackhead son has a no show board position on?
Trump withheld military aid for Ukraine which had been appropriated through a bill passed by congress and signed into law with Trump's own signature. Once signed into law the president can't just hold this aid hostage.
Ala Richard Nixon, just because the president does it, doesn't mean it's legal.
Tying the withholding of this military aid to a request to investigate the president's political targets just makes the smell worse.
There must be some reason why former President Trump never released the transcript of his perfect call. I wonder what that reason is? Perhaps that call wasn't as perfect as he claims?
