Joplin woman sues Food 4 Less after suffering injury from fall

A Joplin woman filed a lawsuit against Food 4 Less today in Jasper County Circuit Court alleging the store was responsible for injuries she suffered from a February 7 fall.

According to the petition, Lynn Keczkemethy (DOB 1956) was walking down an aisle at the Food 4 Less store at 2800 E. 32nd Street, Joplin, when she slipped in a puddle of standing water.

The lawsuit alleges Harp's Food Stores, Inc. owner of Food 4 Less, was negligent in not "keeping its premises in a reasonably safe condition free of hazards."

Keczkemethy, who is represented by Scott Vorhees of the Joplin firm of Johnson, Vorhees and Martucci, says she incurred medical and pharmaceutical costs and is asking for "fair and reasonable damages" and costs.
