(From the Newton County Sheriff's Office)Matt Stewart was sworn in as the next Sheriff of Newton County today after giving his oath of office before Judge Kevin Selby.
In addition, all Newton County deputies were sworn in for the next term. Sheriff Stewart’s term begins January 1, 2025.
