Palin takes GOP Convention by storm

Rudy Giuliani, at his biting, sarcastic best, is a hard act to follow, but Sarah Palin is not having any problems. She began her speech with a strong tribute to the man who selected her as his vice presidential candidate, John McCain.

Mrs. Palin introduced her family, then stressed her small-town roots and talked about her time as mayor of her home town.

"I guess a small town mayor is kind of like a community organizer except you have actual responsibilities," Mrs. Palin said.

After that, she ripped into the media. "I'm not going in to Washington to seek their good opinion. I'm going into Washington to serve the people of this great country."
