...WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 6 PM CST THIS
EVENING...

A WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY FOR SNOW REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 6 PM
CST THIS EVENING.

* SHORT TERM TRENDS...A BAND OF MODERATE TO HEAVY SNOW WILL
CONTINUE TO EFFECT AREAS FROM NEOSHO AND ANDERSON EAST TO THE
AVA AND AND GAINESVILLE AREAS. LIGHT TO MODERATE SNOW IS
OCCURRING FARTHER NORTH THROUGH THE SPRINGFIELD...ROLLA...TRUMAN
LAKE...AND LAKE OF THE OZARKS REGION. SNOW FALL RATES OF OVER
AN INCH PER HOUR WILL BE POSSIBLE WITH HEAVIER SNOW BANDS ALONG
THE ARKANSAS STATE LINE.

* TIMING AND AREAS AFFECTED...SNOW WILL IMPACT ALL OF THE MISSOURI
OZARKS AND SOUTHEAST KANSAS THIS MORNING...THEN TAPER OFF THIS
AFTERNOON FROM NORTHWEST TO SOUTHEAST.

* SNOW ACCUMULATIONS...TOTAL SNOW ACCUMULATIONS OF 2 TO 5 INCHES
ALONG AND SOUTH OF A NEVADA TO LEBANON LINE WITH LOCALLY HIGHER
AMOUNTS AROUND 6 INCHES POSSIBLE. ACCUMULATIONS OF 1 TO 3 INCHES
ARE EXPECTED ACROSS CENTRAL MISSOURI.

* WINDS AND VISIBILITY...SUSTAINED WINDS OF 10 TO 20 MPH WILL
CAUSE SOME MINOR BLOWING AND DRIFTING OF SNOW. THE VISIBILITY
WILL BE REDUCED TO AROUND A HALF MILE OR LESS AT TIMES
WEDNESDAY MORNING.

* IMPACTS...COLD CONDITIONS AND SNOW COVERED ROADS ARE EXPECTED IN
MOST AREAS. ROADS WILL BE HAZARDOUS. IF YOU MUST TRAVEL...ALLOW
EXTRA TIME TO REACH YOUR DESTINATION. COLD CONDITIONS WILL MAKE
IT DANGEROUS FOR ANYONE WHO IS STRANDED IN THE HEAVY SNOW.
