The bond for a man described by Carthage Police as "a person of interest" in connection with the weekend murders of Marvin and Peggy Steverson, had his bond increased earlier today on an unrelated charge.
Micah Joel Holman, 32, Carthage, already has a $250,000 bond set on the two drug charges for which he was arrested over the weekend. He has not been charged with the murder of the Steversons, or with the arson fire that destroyed their house in an effort to cover up the crime.
Jasper County Circuit Court Judge Joseph Schoeberl increased his bond in a felony domestic abuse case from $10,000 to $25,000 during a hearing this morning, according to court records.
Holman allegedly committed the domestic abuse on Jan. 24.
