A Carl Junction man was cited for three felonies after crashing into a tree while fleeing from law enforcement, according to the Highway Patrol report,
Alexander J. Jeffreys, 39, Carl Junction, was driving a 2018 Mitsubishi Outlander on State Line Road one mile north of Seneca when he traveled off the roadway and hit the tree, the report said.
Jeffreys, who was flown to Freeman West Hospital, Joplin, with serious injuries was cited for felony driving while intoxicated, felony driving while revoked and possession of methamphetamine, as well as misdemeanor counts of careless and imprudent driving, possession of drug paraphernalia and no seat belt.
