(From Jill Carter for State Senate) State Senator Jill Carter announced that she has received the endorsement of Missouri’s chief law enforcement official, Attorney General Catherine Hanaway.
“Jill Carter is a proven fighter for the people of Jasper and Newton counties. Our office worked hand-in-hand to pass a law and order agenda that included enhanced truth in sentencing, harsher penalties for child groomers and human traffickers, and protecting Missourian’s Second Amendment rights. She will continue to do an excellent job representing the 32nd Senatorial District and has my full support,” said Attorney General Hanaway.
“I am honored to have General Hanaway’s support. During her time in the Missouri legislature she helped Republicans gain the majority in the Missouri General Assembly, and as Attorney General she has been successful in getting dangerous criminals off our streets and keeping them behind bars. I look forward to continuing to work with her to keep Missouri the best place to raise a family,” said State Senator Carter.
Senator Carter has been a resident of Southwest Missouri for 36 years and graduated from East Newton High School and Crowder College. Before winning election to the Missouri State Senate in 2022, she spent a decade traveling to the capitol advocating for seniors, veterans, and parental rights.
Senator Carter has received an A+ Rating from the NRA and was named 2025 Legislator of the Year by the Missouri Association of Prosecuting Attorneys. She has received the sole endorsement from the Fraternal Order of Police, Missouri Sheriff’s Association, Missouri Firearms Coalition, Missouri Cattlemen’s Association, Missouri Farm Bureau, and Missouri Right to Life.

Because she already committed the data center in monet. Ask the organizers from joplin why they sceduled on same day.
She lost any respect I had for her when she sent out the flyer saying she backed Trump 100%. That puts her on the wrong side of history in my opinion.
She doesn't represent Barry and Lawrence County. Good hiding place though.

So instead of voting for the best looking one, let’s vote to send someone to Jefferson City who looks like a geriatric cocker spaniel. I’m sure the rest of the elected officials across the state will wonder what the voters of this district think about the decisions being made down here.

People who live in glass houses, probably shouldn’t be throwing stones around.

I highly doubt that Ellen calls Bill and asks for his advice when she’s in surgery or caring for her patients. Ellen is a very smart, capable and independent woman, all without her husband’s permission or input. She obviously put her self through med school using her own brain to do so. I think she can do this without needing his brain on this too.

I’m sure most of the legislators would be more likely to question the voters that voted to re-elect Trump, than to ever question electing a highly respected, extremely competent and intelligent Neurosurgeon. Yes, you clearly did. Clearly you also didn't read the article, and know nothing about what legislation she has sponsored and helped pass. You can say you disagree with her, but act like she has done nothing only shows your ignorance or bias.
The smart and educated career woman, stands at every event while her husband works the room. Bill is going to be her chief of staff. Ellen's MEC report has the same donors as Bill 4 years ago. Ellen has never been at a single Republican event (even when her husband was in the Senate) until she announced her candidacy. You can disagree with Jill, but you are lying to yourself or us, if you don't know this about retaliation. The "smart educated career woman" is already holding the office, it just isn't her entire personality like Dr. Nichols. Senator Carter has 5 children, one special needs, and this evil Dr. White is basing her attacks about Jill missing "important votes", because her son was in a bad car accident during the vote.
The compassionate and caring doctor and mother, is attacking a mother for missing a vote (which passed anyways) because her child was in the ER. That tells me everything I need to know, if I didn't already know the rest.
Ellen is either a political novice, with no experience, no connections, and no ability to navigate the capitol where she has spent no time. Or, she is Ellen White, with the network, donors, and direction from Bill. She doesn't get to have it both ways.
Why? Because the Attorney General endorsed her? Wow, what a clever hot take. 🙄
