Too bad the majority of Taxpayers do not Read or Follow what their City Councils are doing - They spend money like there is no tomorrow, authorizing $100K studies, paying for walkways/bridges, and sewer systems that are not even in our city / county limits - annexing land to build datacenters and then providing them with the electricity/water/gas/sewer - utilities without cause and increasing the costs for all the consumers in the area - but again the leaders of the city council, don't care - it is the taxpayer's money - which they think is just an endless supply for all the cities/counties/state/federal to use at their whim - if they only had to accomplish things for the good of the majority and not special interests, business cronies, family, and friends - and was out of their pockets and not the Taxpayers - it might be a different story!

Kevin Hassett, Director of the National Economic Council,:

"Data centers are very good for towns, because they create so many jobs and bring people in with high incomes that can buy houses and stuff like that," Hassett said. "So if you take a sleepy town that hasn't really seen much in the last 30 years and put a data center there, then there are gonna be a whole bunch of happy residents in that town."

1:41PM - The Reason that Joplin, remains a "Sleepy Town", is because our Elected City Council - Is a Bunch of Clowns 🤡🤡🤡, that do not know how to Focus on Economic Development - All we know to do in Joplin is open more damn restaurants and bars so our local population eats out more, drinks, and continues to grow fatter! Just look at the people shopping at Walmart / Sams / Target and it will tell the whole story.
