Webb CIty man charged after allegedly threatening to shoot everyone in restaurant

The Jasper County Prosecuting Attorney's office filed terrorist threat, resisting arrest and a misdemeanor domestic assault charge against a Webb City man who allegedly threatened to shoot everyone inside the Webb City Cafe Sunday.

An arrest warrant was issued and bond set at $5,000 cash only for Caleb Chantz Roland (DOB 2007).

From the probable cause statement:

On 07/12/2026 at 1246 hours,I was dispatched to 21 S Main St, in the City of Webb City, County of
Jasper, State of Missouri, for a report of a disturbance. It was stated that Caleb was there harassing
his ex-girlfriend, and he threatened to shoot everyone inside the restaurant.

Upon my arrival I attempted to contact Caleb but he fled on foot from me. Caleb then got into a white Nissan truck and the driver and Caleb fled the area.

Statements from witness on scene stated Caleb said he was going to shoot the victim and everyone else inside the restaurant. The witness also stated Caleb said multiple times his had a gun and he would use it but Caleb never displayed a gun.

I also have text messages from Caleb stating something was going to happen to his ex-girlfriend and other people were going to get hurt.
