Last week, Billy signed the Citizens Against Government Waste No Pork Pledge. The pledge is sponsored by Citizens Against Government Waste, the publishers of the yearly “Pig Book” that outlines all pork projects included in the federal budget.
Speaking about why he signed the pledge, Billy said, “Government spending is out of control. We have a debt of over $12.3 trillion dollars, but too many politicians are either not paying attention or don’t care about the enormous debt burden that they are placing on taxpayers’ shoulders. If I am elected, I will not engage in the kind of irresponsible, corrupt spending that has become so commonplace in our nation’s capitol.”

BIlly Long signs No Pork Pledge
Auctioneer Billy Long, a candidate for the Seventh District Congressional seat currently held by Roy Blunt, says he will not engage in pork barrel spending if he is elected. From his news release:

Blunt is a big PORKER.
Get out the vote for a true conservative - Chuck Purgason. He's only 7 points behind Carnahan for the Senate seat.
Are you sure Billy didn't say he was going to cut back on the pork to try to lose some weight?
we in southwest missouri benefited greatly from the "pork" that blunt delivered.
I'm sure Billy's corrupt campaign manager just told him it was a good idea. I'd be happy to have a candidate think something is a good idea himself other than relying on some rich campaign manager that resorts to topics like extortion and slander. Guess we can't expect that from this phony "outsider"
