Sarah Steelman remains tight-lipped on her support for a budget proposal that would end Medicare as we know it. The Republican Plan to End Medicare would cost Missouri 42,000 jobs.
“When Missouri is working its way to recovery, Sarah Steelman’s tacit approval of 42,000 pink slips is simply reprehensible,” said Caitlin Legacki, Missouri Democratic Party spokeswoman.
Steelman’s primary opponent, Rep. Todd Akin, has been an outspoken supporter of the Republican plan to end Medicare.
