The newspaper announced it was eliminating its Monday edition, "effective immediately," and offered no reason why. No quotes were featured from the editor or publisher, only a reference to breaking news being available on the Daily News website.
The following notice was placed on the website seven hours ago:
The Monday edition of the Neosho Daily News will cease publication, effective June 27.Though the move is not a surprising one, a more thorough explanation and a little more notice might have been nice.
The Daily News will continue to publish Tuesday through Friday and on Sunday morning, and utilize its website to deliver news on Monday.

To my surprise, however, I did have a Monday Neosho Daily in my driveway a few minutes ago.
They must not have read their own paper.
Apparently Monday was the last edition. It may also interest you to know that Gatehouse eliminated several positions area wide last week. It looks as if this included the publisher of the Carthage Press.
