OZARKS AND EXTREME SOUTHEAST KANSAS.

WEATHER HAZARDS EXPECTED...

  LIMITED LIGHTNING RISK.
  ELEVATED FIRE WEATHER RISK.

DISCUSSION...

ELEVATED FIRE WEATHER CONDITIONS WILL CONTINUE FOR AREAS ALONG
AND SOUTHEAST OF THE INTERSTATE 44 CORRIDOR LATE THIS AFTERNOON.

THERE IS A SLIGHT RISK FOR AN ISOLATED THUNDERSTORM OR TWO OVER
SOUTHERN MISSOURI THIS EVENING. MOST LOCATIONS WILL REMAIN DRY
THROUGH TONIGHT.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...FRIDAY THROUGH WEDNESDAY.

ISOLATED THUNDERSTORMS CAN NOT BE RULED OUT ON FRIDAY AS A FRONT
STALLS NEAR THE HIGHWAY 54 CORRIDOR.

WIND GUSTS TO 30 MPH ARE EXPECTED SATURDAY ACROSS EXTREME
SOUTHEASTERN KANSAS AND WESTERN MISSOURI.

STRONG TO SEVERE STORMS ARE EXPECTED ON SUNDAY AND SUNDAY
EVENING...AS A VIGOROUS STORM SYSTEM APPROACHES FROM THE WEST. AT
THIS TIME...LARGE HAIL AND DAMAGING WIND GUSTS WILL BE THE
PRIMARY RISKS. MEANWHILE...HEAVY RAIN COULD LEAD TO LOCALIZED
FLOODING IN SOME AREAS OF THE OZARKS.

FROST OR FREEZE CONDITIONS ARE EXPECTED MONDAY NIGHT AND EARLY
TUESDAY MORNING. TEMPERATURES WILL FALL INTO THE UPPER 20S OR
LOWER 30S DURING THE OVERNIGHT PERIOD.
