Newton County reports 14 new COVID-19 cases, number under isolation drops sharply

Fourteen new cases of COVID-19 have been confirmed in the past 48 hours, according to statistics released this evening by the Newton County Health Department.

The county has had 920 cases.

While the number of cases continues to grow, the number of people under isolation dropped sharply over the reporting period from 240 to 154.








Newton County has recorded 10 coronavirus deaths.

The statistics do not include the portion of Jasper County that is located in the city of Joplin.
