Jasper County's 32nd COVID-19 death is man in his 80s


In a news release issued this afternoon, the Jasper County Health Department reported the county's 32nd death due to COVID-19. (The numbers in the accompanying photo were posted earlier in the day and are from the previous day.)

The fatality was the 12th this month.







The victim, a man in his 80s, had been hospitalized prior to his death.

Thirty cases were confirmed in the previous 24 hours, while the number of people in isolation increased from 158 to 164. The number of people who are hospitalized remained at 24.

The statistics do not include the portion of Jasper County that is located in the Joplin city limits.
