Newton County's COVID-19 count stood at 1,394 this evening after 37 new cases were confirmed, according to statistics posted on the Newton County Health Department's Facebook page.
The number of people who are hospitalized grew from four to six, while the number in isolation increased from 223 to 229.
Newton County has recorded 20 coronavirus deaths.
The statistics do not include the portion of Newton County that is located in the Joplin city limits.
