Congrats to Eagle-Picher for their Investment in their plant expansion and creating 100-new jobs. We need more companies to step-up and help our community grow and create good paying jobs, which will stimulate the economy and produce more local taxes.
EP can kiss my and about 100 other ex employees butts. They fired us and lied to new hires about the union. Well after the new hires sided with them, they lost their jobs too. We tried to tell them. But they were blinded by EP's money and empty promises. I wasted over 32 years there and I wouldn't suggest anyone work there unless you just want a couple of paychecks. Because when they've gotten what they need from you, you will be gone too.
The day of working for one company for your entire life is gone. With Economic Conditions and Global Competition, today's employees are needing to understand that. If you got 32-years of pay checks that sounds like you didn't waste your time but were paid for it. Hopefully you bought a house, a couple cars, and were able to get your kids into college, and saved some for your retirement.
As we have seen with companies like Leggitt and Platt, Lozier, Able Manufacturing, Bass Pro-In Miami, 3M-In Nevada and other Manufacturing Concerns - Layoffs happen and sad thing today, we all have to be prepared for that by, Saving Back some Money and Cross Training, possible into other Vocations to meet the demands into the 21st Century. Today the Health Care Profession has the key to a Long-Term Employment Opportunities, since Baby Boomers and Gen-X are retiring and are needing additional Health Services to support them.
