The following message was posted earlier today on the Granny Shaffer's Restaurant Facebook page:After 53 incredible years of serving our community, we would like to express our deepest gratitude to each and every one of you who has supported us throughout the years.
After much thought and consideration, we have made the difficult decision to close this chapter. Our final day of service will be Sunday, July 12th.
We would be honored to welcome you one last time to share a meal, reminisce, and celebrate the memories we have created together. The friendships, laughter, and connections made over the years have meant more to us than words can express.
Thank you for allowing us to be a part of your lives. You have been far more than customers—you have been family, and we will forever cherish the relationships and memories we have shared.
As our final day approaches, we will share additional updates and announcements. Please keep an eye on our page for more information.
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for 53 wonderful years. We are truly grateful for your support, loyalty, and friendship.

Too bad that they cannot sell to someone to continue the tradition. Always enjoyed eating there.
Slim margins, massive cost, today’s workforce… doesn’t sound to appealing does it, won’t be long until every mom and pop, restaurant, retail, gas station, all these will be corporate owned. Support your local businesses folks it will do them and you a favor.
10:30AM, If you are saying Corporations and Larger Companies can Compete, why cannot smaller Mom and Pop utilize similar concepts - buying in group consortiums, same labor markets, use Social Media for free advertising, if businesses use similar strategies they can compete in most markets and they have valid add or products to offer.
They cooked a majority Sysco menu anyways.... Wasn't a terrible place to go other than the stinky smoking section that made the whole place smell like an ashtray. Plus the 80's decorations didn't appeal to younger patrons...
Any time you see a menu with lots of entree and side choices the first thing to suspect that the entrees and sides come off the food service truck ready to heat.
Some one is cooking when that goes on, it just isn't the restaurant.
