Why do think the Shareholders would approve the merger with Leggett & Platt's stock price down in the last 5-years from $54.11 / share on May 21, 2021, till today at $9.49 / share - with the Trust and Faith of the Board of Directors and the Management Team at an all-time Low and an (82.46%) Loss in Stock Value in 5-years - time to Sell this Sinking Ship. Again, this is because the Board of Directors and the Management Team - Were Incompetent - Plain and Simple!
But no need to worry this Lack Luster, Under Qualified - Board of Directors and Management Team - Negotiated - Golden Parachutes, Flat Payouts, Stock Options, Bonuses, Future Medical and Retirement Options, Paid Travel, Etc., Etc., Etc., all the while the Workers in the Plants who kept the Day-to-Day Manufacturing going will be eventually looking for future employment. Sounds Fair Doesn't It!
A once Proud Fortune 500 / 1000 Company, and a "Dividend Aristocrat" founded in 1883 - this Company will be studied in business schools and industry analysts will likely study Leggett & Platt’s recent trajectory, but it is better categorized as a textbook case of severe structural decline and consolidation rather than a complete corporate bankruptcy!
There is no need top buy an expensive subscriptionj to the Wall Street Journal or Bloomberg when you can get the PPPP's analysis and copy pastes for free!

Wow, 12:42pm, impressed that you know about and can even spell Wall Street Journal, WSJ or Bloomberg. Now if you could start making comments and focusing on the main article at hand and not worry about other people's comments people might think you have an IQ of at least 75.
