A mediation session for former Carthage golf superintendent Aaron Borland's wrongful dismissal lawsuit against the City of Carthage and current and former city officials has been scheduled for 10 a.m. October 15 in Springfield, with Stephen H. Snead as the neutral mediator.
The mediation session will gauge whether the two sides can reach an agreement to keep the case from going to trial.
Borland's action was filed July 13 in U. S. District Court for the Western District of Missouri.
In addition to the city, former Parks Director Abi Almandinger, HR Director Michael Miller, City Administrator Tracy Cox, former City Administrator Greg Dagnan, former City Attorney Nate Dally and former Mayor Dan Rife are listed as defendants.
