Livengood: Ashcroft to back Blunt for Senate

On his Twitter page, Springfield News-Leader political reporter Chad LIvengood just broke the news that former Attorney General John Ashcroft will endorse Roy Blunt for U. S. Senate Monday.

With the Ashcroft endorsement, and the announcement earlier today that Lt. Gov. Peter Kinder and former Sen. Jim Talent are backing Blunt (not to mention John Danforth's endorsement earlier this week) Blunt is sending a strong message to Sen. Chuck Purgason and former State Treasurer Sarah Steelman- "Stay out of the race, I've got it locked up."

(Note: Upon further examination, it appears that Jim Lee at the Bus Plunge blog broke this story.)

Remember the old saying, something about the Best laid plans of mice and men go to He$$ now and then?

Perhaps Mr. Blunt is a bit ahead of himself. The voters haven't yet decided his future.

The Ole Man Blunt has been involved in too much of the "NO" politics in Washington. Anything that is good for the people, he votes NO.

I hope him and Baby Boy Blunt both have nothing but free time on their hands after this election to decide his future. Perhaps they can go to a CAFO and volunteer to fan the stink, a stink which they let happen.
