A WIND CHILL ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 9 AM CST THURSDAY.
* SHORT TERM TRENDS...WIND CHILL VALUES EARLY THIS MORNING ARE
GENERALLY IN THE 5 TO 10 BELOW ZERO RANGE. WIND CHILL VALUES
WILL ONLY IMPROVE INTO THE ZERO TO 5 BELOW ZERO RANGE THIS
AFTERNOON.
* TIMING AND AREAS AFFECTED...VERY COLD WIND CHILLS WILL CONTINUE
THROUGH AT LEAST THURSDAY MORNING ACROSS ALL OF THE MISSOURI
OZARKS.
* WIND CHILL VALUES...LATE NIGHT AND EARLY MORNING WIND CHILLS
WILL DROP INTO THE 10 TO 25 BELOW ZERO RANGE. WIND CHILLS DURING
THE DAY TIME HOURS WILL REMAIN NEAR TO BELOW ZERO.
* IMPACTS...EXTREMELY COLD WIND CHILLS WILL RESULT IN DANGEROUS
CONDITIONS FOR ANYONE OUTDOORS. FROSTBITE WILL BE POSSIBLE ON
EXPOSED SKIN IN A SHORT PERIOD OF TIME.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
A WIND CHILL ADVISORY MEANS THAT VERY COLD AIR AND STRONG WINDS
WILL COMBINE TO GENERATE LOW WIND CHILLS. THIS WILL RESULT IN
FROST BITE AND LEAD TO HYPOTHERMIA IF PRECAUTIONS ARE NOT TAKEN.
