A WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY FOR SNOW REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 6 AM
CST SATURDAY.
* SHORT TERM TRENDS...LIGHT TO OCCASIONALLY MODERATE SNOW WILL
CONTINUE ACROSS SOUTHERN MISSOURI AND EXTREME SOUTHEAST KANSAS
THROUGH THE EVENING. MODERATE TO HEAVY BURSTS OF SNOW WILL OCCUR
AT TIMES FROM ANDERSON AND NEOSHO EAST ALONG AND JUST SOUTH OF
INTERSTATE 44 TO HOUSTON AND SALEM. ONE TO TWO INCHES OF NEW
SNOW HAS FALLEN ACROSS SOUTHWEST MISSOURI THROUGH EARLY
EVENING.
* TIMING AND AREAS AFFECTED...SNOW WILL IMPACT EXTREME SOUTHEAST KANSAS
AND SOUTHERN MISSOURI MAINLY SOUTH OF A COLUMBUS KANSAS...TO
BOLIVAR AND ROLLA LINE TONIGHT.
* SNOW ACCUMULATIONS...TOTAL SNOW ACCUMULATIONS OF 1 TO 3 INCHES
CAN BE EXPECTED WITH LOCALLY HIGHER AMOUNTS AROUND 5 INCHES
POSSIBLE.
* WINDS AND VISIBILITY...VISIBILITIES WITHIN THE HEAVIER SNOWFALL
MAY DROP BELOW ONE HALF MILE AT TIMES. RELATIVELY LIGHT WINDS
WILL WILL LIMIT ANY DRIFTING OF SNOW.
* IMPACTS...ROADWAYS WHICH HAVE BEEN CLEARED FROM THE PREVIOUS
SNOWFALL WILL BECOME SNOW COVERED AND SLICK ONCE AGAIN. EXPECT
DETERIORATING TRAVEL CONDITIONS DURING THE EVENING INTO THE
OVERNIGHT HOURS.

SNOW COVERED CONDITIONS ALONG STRETCHES OF STATE HIGHWAYS

GIVEN THE BANDING NATURE OF THE SNOW...THOSE TRAVELING SHOULD
BE PREPARED FOR RAPID CHANGES IN VISIBILITY AND ROAD CONDITIONS
AS HEAVIER SNOW IS ENCOUNTERED.
