Cynthia Davis: We don't need government; we have families, churches, and civic groups

In this Sept. 11 address to the Jefferson City Tea Party group, former Rep. Cynthia Davis, describing herself as "a recovering politician," offers her views on government.

As you might expect, she doesn't like it. When someone is in trouble, she says, it should be handled by family, church and groups like Kiwanis and Rotary.

"Government is not here to love you," she said. "It has no charm."

During this 14-minute video, Mrs. Davis exhibits her charm and makes the viewer wonder if she should sue the people who provided her with the speech training she noted on one of her campaign finance reports.
