A House Rules Committee hearing on the fix to the Facebook Law, which unanimously passed the Education Committee earlier this week, was postponed Wednesday.
Though Gov. Jay Nixon asked for a repeal of the social networking language of Sen. Jane Cunningham's SB 54 during the special session, Mrs. Cunningham and teacher organizations MSTA and MNEA came up with compromise legislation which calls for each school district to have a policy for student-teacher communication in place by March 1, 2012.
The Rules Committee may take up the bill today.
